Hi, I’m Carly.
Before becoming a doula, I spent nearly thirteen years as a nurse, first in medical nursing, then as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Nutrition. I hold a Diploma in Clinical Nutrition from King’s College London and was certified as a full-spectrum doula with Doula Trainings International in 2021. It was during the pandemic, cooking postpartum meals for new mothers, that I found the work I was meant to do: caring for the person who has just done the extraordinary thing of bringing a new life into the world.
That’s the belief at the heart of everything I offer, that a nourished mother can nourish her baby. Nourishment in every sense: warm food made for recovery, honest answers to worried questions, a calm presence in your home, and space for whatever you’re feeling.
I’m British, and after years in London and Berlin I now live in Basel with my husband and our two children, so I know firsthand what it means to grow a family far from your own mother, in a country whose systems are still new to you.
I’d love to meet you. The first call is always free.
